Privacy Policy

Overview

CombineCodes Universal (“the App”) is a macOS desktop application built by Weiming (“we”, “us”, “our”). The App aggregates local codebases into structured context files for use with large language models. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.

The short version: Your code never leaves your Mac. The App runs entirely on your device with no cloud processing, no remote uploads, and no background telemetry.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. The App does not require account creation, does not transmit data to external servers, and does not include any analytics or tracking frameworks.

Local Processing

All file scanning, aggregation, and export operations happen locally on your Mac. Specifically:

• Source code files are read from directories you select
• Preflight metrics (file counts, token estimates) are computed on-device
• Export files are written to locations you choose on your local file system
• No intermediate data is cached, uploaded, or transmitted to any remote service

Network Access

The App does not make network requests during normal operation. It does not connect to external APIs, cloud services, or remote endpoints. No internet connection is required to use the App.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services. The context files you generate are local artifacts under your full control. How you subsequently use those files (for example, pasting into an LLM chat) is governed by the privacy policies of those downstream services.

File System Access

The App requests access to directories you explicitly select through the macOS file picker. It reads file contents for aggregation purposes only. The App does not modify your source files, does not access files outside the directories you choose, and does not retain file data after you close the session.

Children’s Privacy

The App is a developer tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
